Haglund Foundation Releases Follow-Up to “Rental Laws Gone Wild” Video

Police visit home of squatter and are powerless to remove her

SEATTLE, WA – The Carl Haglund Foundation has released a follow-up to their video expose “Rental Laws Gone Wild.” The first video chronicled the exploits of Jennifer Tillman, a single tenant who occupies a seven-unit housing complex yet has paid no rent in over a year. In a follow-up video, the Haglund Foundation shows how the police are powerless to assist landlords dealing with squatters and violent, unpaying tenants.

“We need to show the people of Seattle what the government of Seattle has done to them” said Carl Haglund, CEO of the Carl Haglund Foundation. “My home is illegally occupied by a violent criminal and the police are powerless to help, the courts are powerless to help and the law is powerless to help. The criminals are winning, they know it, and the City Council is letting it happen.”

“I hope you watch this video. I hope it angers you” said Haglund. “Let the City know how angry you are.”
