Help the Central Lutheran Church

SEATTLE, WA - If you haven’t heard, Seattle has been hit hard with civil unrest, violent protests, unfettered vandalism and worse yet, desecration of all things sacred. On Thursday, September 24th, the Central Lutheran Church on Capitol Hill was attacked by agitators attaching themselves to the recent political protests. They hurled rocks, shattering eight stained glass windows that were over a hundred years old. The damages totaled $150,000.

This is a church that has regularly helped out the underprivileged and supported groups set out for social change. Many other churches in Seattle have also been vandalized, robbed, and literally defiled during the recent unrest.

Help us make sure that history does not repeat itself. Seattle has always been an open and welcoming community. Let's not allow a few vandals and rioters to change that. We can send our own message, a message of hope and non-violence; a message that says we can embrace change without tearing down our neighborhoods, small businesses, and churches. The Central Lutheran Church has been described as the quilt of the community, bringing together people of all backgrounds and financial means. They need our help now, so please consider doing what you can to restore this beautiful landmark.
